Property specialist Centrick has bolstered its management team with the appointment of Sarah Parkyn as operations director of its buildings and estate management division.
Sarah joins the company at a time of rapid growth. It has recently more than doubled the size of its buildings and estate management team after being instructed on over 130 developments in just five months.
The award-winning, experienced property professional has more than 29 years’ experience in the industry. She has extensive knowledge of both the private and public sectors having worked for a local authority, social housing providers and in residential block management.
“I am delighted to be joining the vibrant and positive team at Centrick,” said Sarah. “The building and estate management service provides an exceptional service which is innovative and responsive to the customer’s needs. I am excited about being part of the company’s continued growth and future development.”
Sarah joins from a client-side management company where she was director, overseeing a national property portfolio dealing with ground rent administration, the appointment of managing agents and non-ACM cladding remediation.
Centrick chairman James Ackrill said: “We are thrilled that Sarah has joined Centrick and I am looking forward to following her progress as she adds her tremendous experience to what is already a highly talented team. Last year was transformational for our buildings and estate management team and we are excited to build on our success this year. Sarah’s customer service focus coupled with her strong experience and knowledge in residential property management will be a real asset as we further enhance our service offering.”
Centrick recently announced has been appointed by clients including E&J and Simarc – two of the largest freeholders in the UK – on apartment developments comprising 3,800 homes spread from Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield in the north, Birmingham and Nottingham in the Midlands, and Southampton and Essex in the south.
Notable developments include Broadway Plaza in Birmingham, Trent Bridge Quays in Nottingham (Elevate Property Group), Panorama Apartments in Ashford, Kent, and The Gothic by Cordia Blackswan in Birmingham.
Centrick has expanded its building and estate management team to more than 60 as it anticipates taking over management of more than 8,000 homes this year. The team has grown in order to ensure its award-winning customer service standards are maintained and to effectively manage the increase in portfolios.
The Birmingham-based company also recently announced it is launching a series of new city office hubs in an ambitious national expansion drive as it continues to secure major new contracts. It is investing more than £1 million this year as it recruits more staff to deliver services from new regional offices in Sheffield, Southampton and Gerrard’s Cross, as well as city hubs in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Nottingham. More hubs at key locations are in the pipeline.
