Centrick is pleased to announce its appointment as managing agent for the East Works development, a 563-home community in the beautiful village of Cofton Hackett.
Following a competitive tender process, Centrick was selected by Miller Homes to take on management of the estate from November 2025. Through the process, our team worked closely with members of the resident steering group to gain a clear understanding of the estate’s priorities, challenges and opportunities. This collaborative approach ensured our proposed management strategy is aligned with the needs and aspirations of the community.
A thriving community in a sought-after location
East Works is situated in the desirable village of Cofton Hackett, within the Bromsgrove district of Worcestershire. Surrounded by countryside yet within easy reach of the city, the development benefits from close proximity to the 524-acre Lickey Hills Country Park and is less than 10 miles from Birmingham city centre.
The development already has strong foundations as a welcoming and well-connected neighbourhood, with green spaces and play areas contributing to a vibrant and inclusive environment for residents.

Building strong relationships from the outset
Since taking on management responsibilities, our focus has been on building positive relationships with residents and establishing clear, consistent lines of communication.
We have begun working closely with the resident committee through regular engagement, including:
- An estate-wide welcome meeting
- Resident drop-in sessions
- The first in a series of ongoing committee meetings
These early conversations have already helped us identify key priorities, as well as opportunities to enhance the overall management of the estate.
Working collaboratively with residents, we have:
- Developed a revised grounds maintenance specification
- Addressed service charge billing matters
- Identified opportunities for wider improvements across the development
For members of the resident steering group, this appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the community. As Michael Pattison, Lead of the Resident Steering Group for East Works, explains:
When we began searching for a managing agent that would put residents at the heart of their operation, we looked to Centrick. After years of addressing poor service on our estate, we wanted a company that would genuinely engage with residents and help build our community.
From the outset, Centrick emphasised clear communication, responsiveness and a visible presence on the estate.
It is still early days, but we are optimistic about working together to ensure the estate is properly and fairly maintained, and that residents’ concerns are addressed.
Supporting a joined-up approach across the estate
East Works includes homes operated by several housing associations, and we are committed to working closely with all partners on the site to ensure a coordinated and consistent management approach for every resident.
Our aim is to deliver a management service that not only supports our developer client, but also gives residents confidence that their community is well-maintained and that their voices are heard.
