A former director of Savills in Hong Kong has joined the valuation team at commercial and residential property specialist Centrick.

Victor Chow, who recently relocated to the UK, gained more than 20 years’ experience in the property sector in the former British colony.

He will be based at Centrick’s Nottingham office where, as a valuation surveyor, he will support the East Midlands team in providing property valuations for secured lending purposes, including HMO and development, while extending Centrick’s work for private individuals.

Katherine Nolan, director and head of valuation at Centrick’s Birmingham headquarters, said:

“Having someone with Victor’s experience join the team is a huge boost and increases our coverage. It will enable us to offer valuations across the East Midlands including key cities Leicester, Nottingham and Derby.

“We established our valuation service just two years ago when the company acquired some of the assets from Andrew Grant Commercial and since then we have doubled our fee income and grown the team. We are going from strength to strength and developing new business relationships all the time.”

Victor said:

“I am excited to be joining Centrick’s valuation team. It has been an interesting journey relocating from Hong Kong and I am very much looking forward to getting to know my colleagues and the East Midlands property market.”

Centrick chairman James Ackrill said:

“Victor’s appointment is another key step forward for our experienced team which will now be able to provide valuations for a wide range of clients right across the East Midlands. We will continue to strengthen the team as our valuation business grows and we are already looking to appoint another surveyor in Birmingham.”

Centrick’s experienced team of RICS registered valuers carry out  ‘Red Book’ valuations for a range of clients including banks and other financial institutions, developers, housing associations, charities, property owners and private individuals. It also works closely with other professionals including solicitors and accountants to service their clients’ requirements.
