From Birmingham roots to national reach, Centrick marks a major milestone with fresh investment in people, technology and the future of property services.
Centrick, one of the UK’s largest independent operators in the residential living sector, is proud to mark its 20th anniversary in 2025. Established in Birmingham in 2005, the business has grown into a major force in the property industry, delivering a wide range of services including building and estate management, residential asset management across all asset classes including build to rent, building consultancy and surveying, professional services, RICS approved valuation services and facilities management.
Over two decades, Centrick has grown from a small Midlands start-up to managing more than 26,500 homes nationwide, ranging from city apartments to complex estates, with a team of over 270 specialists. With a focus on innovation, client service and sustainable growth, the business continues to deliver tailored, tech-enabled solutions to meet the evolving needs of residents, developers and property owners across the UK.
From its earliest days, Centrick set out to raise the bar for service delivery in the property sector, and its most recent initiative – the launch of the Centrick Academy – shows that desire for continuous improvement is still at the forefront of the Group’s strategy. Founders James and Carina Ackrill continue to play a pivotal role in the business today, championing its people-first ethos and helping to guide its next chapter.
James Ackrill said:

Alongside this, the formation of a specialist building safety and compliance team, including a dedicated resident engagement manager, demonstrates Centrick’s proactive approach to evolving building safety regulation, resident wellbeing and service excellence.
The Centrick team officially kicked off its 20th anniversary celebrations last month with the company’s flagship Big Centrick Seminar, an internal event designed to bring colleagues together, reflect on achievements, and set out the vision for the year ahead. With a strong focus on collaboration, continuous improvement and long-term impact, the event marked the start of a year of celebration and forward momentum.
