At Centrick, building safety is at the core of everything we do, which is why we’re proud to share the exciting news that our Business & Estate Management department has been awarded a Four-Star ‘Very Good’ rating in our very first British Safety Council Five-Star Occupational Health & Safety Audit.
For a first-time audit, achieving a four-star result is a significant milestone. It recognises the strength of our health and safety culture, our leadership commitment, and the systems we’ve built to support our teams every day. Even better? We were just 0.7% away from a five-star rating – giving us a clear target to aim for next time.
What the audit means
The British Safety Council’s Five Star Audit is a respected, independent assessment that measures how well organisations manage occupational health and safety. It goes far beyond basic legal compliance, benchmarking performance against global best practice and ISO 45001 standards.
During the process, auditors reviewed our policies and procedures, interviewed team members and senior leaders, and observed operational practices across the business. Their findings highlighted our:
- visible and engaged leadership
- proactive, people-first safety culture
- high-quality working environments
- effective use of digital tools for real-time risk management
In short, they saw a business where safety isn’t an add-on, it’s simply how things are done.
