Property specialist Centrick is celebrating a double contract success after being appointed to provide valuations for one of the West Midlands’ leading social housing providers.
Citizen, which owns and manages more than 30,000 homes across the West Midlands has appointed Centrick to provide property development valuations for proposed affordable housing developments and open market land. It has also appointed Centrick on its Right to Buy panel.
The Citizen appointment is a four-year framework agreement which includes sites across Greater Birmingham and the Black Country, Coventry and Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
Katherine Nolan MRICS, director and head of valuation at Centrick’s Birmingham headquarters, said: “We are thrilled to have been selected to the Citizen framework following a competitive procurement process and to have been recognised as a preferred provider. This appointment on both development and Right to Buy valuations reflects our strong customer focus as well as the breadth of skills and experience across the team which has gone from strength to strength over the last 12 months.”
Centrick’s valuation team works alongside major lenders including HSBC, Handlesbanken and Birmingham-based Greenfield Mortgages, and has a number of other panel appointments.
Centrick chairman James Ackrill said: “Being appointed by Citizen represents a major vote of confidence in the very high quality valuation services we provide. Our highly experienced team is going from strength to strength and is driving the growth of our valuations business.”
Strategic procurement manager at Citizen Callum Swingler said: “We have recently been through two open procurement processes and have awarded Centrick to our Right to Buy, Right to Acquire and Leaseholder valuations framework, and also our Development Property Valuations Framework. We are looking forward to working with them over the next few years.”
Centrick’s experienced team of RICS registered valuers carries out ‘Red Book’ valuations for a range of clients including banks and other financial institutions, developers, housing associations, charities, property owners and private individuals across the West Midlands region. It also works closely with other professionals including solicitors and accountants to service their clients’ requirements.
It undertakes valuations of all types of properties including residential, offices, industrial, retail and leisure, land, development sites and specialist uses such as garden centres, sports clubs, HMOs and doctors’ surgeries, working closely with the residential and commercial agency teams within Centrick to ensure valuations are market focused, using a number of research and comparable tools providing the latest data.
